But it turns out the connections that matter aren’t on our phones; they’re with each other.
This year, we gave people a reason to look back up.

The main event will be teased with a subway stunt. When the car enters a tunnel with no service, all the lights will go out, revealing a star-lit ceiling and Verizon OOHs.

An announcement will be made that Verizon is providing special service in this typically dead-zone. So, you can go back to your phone…
Or, you can look up and enjoy the show.
Using geolocation, we’ll send push notifications to Verizon customers reminding them to look up, and rewarding the action with small discounts and deals.
Verizon is showing customers that the ‘best deal’ is the one that understands and meets the needs of the people.
In an age where eyes face down and connection is scarce, we set out to encourage the physical action needed in order for people to be able to truly connect.
So we broiught back the stars. In New York city, we lit up the night sky with drones powered by Verizon, showcasing that the most efficient network is also the one that understands true connection is more than just good service.
It wasn’t just a performance. It was proof.
